The Food Rescue Locator is a comprehensive, ever-growing map of 400+ food recovery organizations across the U.S. Originally created by Sustainable America, the goal of this tool is simple: Help anyone with food to donate find the nearest organization that accepts food donations. If you’re an organization that recovers, rescues, and/or redistributes food to folks in your community, and you’re not already on the map, please complete this submission form.

How we got involved:

At Food Systems Collaborative (FSC), we’re all about making it easier and more efficient to donate quality food. As a part of this work, we successfully led an initiative to introduce and subsequently pass, the Food Donation Improvement Act, a piece of federal legislation that makes it simpler for companies and restaurants to safely donate food. Now, FSC continues to facilitate the bill's implementation by overseeing the Food Rescue Locator, helping fight food waste and nourish our communities. Win-win.
